So here's my sweet Erin (15) singing her heart out at her show choir's performance called, "Night on Broadway".  I obviously need to work on my video skills but this was my very first one and I was nervous that I would mess it up somehow. Just before she came on, I turned on my camera and it turned off. It did this a couple of times so I thought I was sunk, but, by some miracle, I tried one more time and it turned on and stayed on. Whew!!!

Those close to him say that Rob Gangi is the kind of person who brings light to others' lives, lends a helping hand to his clients and makes everyone laugh. This is especially true at his office, RE/MAX Masterpiece Realty in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

But now, Gangi's fellow Associates and an entire community are doing their part to bring some comfort and hope to Gangi's family following a freak skateboarding accident on Dec. 26. The incident, which occurred at his parents' home in North Carolina, left the 42-year-old Sales Associate in a coma with traumatic brain injuries.

The "Pray for Rob Gangi" page on Facebook has been flooded with well wishes and prayers from more than 4,000 people – many of whom don't know Gangi or his family. The outpouring for Gangi spurred widespread local media attention in the Treasure Coast Palm newspaper and on WPEC-TV. If you want to offer thoughts for the family or get information on how to help them, visit the Facebook page.

Gangi's colleagues pooled money to purchase gift certificates to restaurants in Asheville, N.C., where Gangi's wife and 17-year-old son keep vigil at his hospital bedside, as well as cards and donations to help pay for his ongoing care, says Broker/Owner Kathy Slusser. So far, Associates have contributed more than $3,000, and plan to send care packages to his family each week.

"We want his family to know we'll help them in any way we can," Slusser says. "Realtors at other companies are helping out, too, because he's such an amazing guy who has touched so many people. As an agent, he's dedicated to the job; he'll go out and help clients with things in their homes whenever they call. That's just the type of person Rob is."

North Royalton Ohio..This Friday it will be illegal to Talk or Text on your Cell Phone While Driving..Blue tooth Only!

There are tons of article and news reports on the many deaths that have occurred as a result of talking and/or texting on cell phones while driving.

I don't know the number. I only know that one death due to cell phone use while driving is one death too many.

Parma Ohio First Time Homebuyer Funds Now Available!

If you have hope of taking advantage of this great program, you should move quickly with the paperwork. Last year the money ran out very quickly. I had one client who was approved by the city but still did not get the money because other buyers came in with their purchase agreements before she did. When I called the city, they said that even though someone may be approved, it is still on a first come first served basis.

Below are some of the most important points about this program:

• Limited funds
• Income Limits Apply
• Must qualify for a loan of at least $70,000
• Maximum down payment assistance loan of 10% of the purchase price or $10,000
• The loan is forgivable over a 5 year period and carries a 0% interest rate.

To obtain an application, you must contact the city of Parma Department of Development and obtain an application IN PERSON. Per the Department, Parma needs an original and the application cannot be provided by the lender or realtor.

**IMPORTANT*** An applicant cannot sign a purchase agreement prior to submission of of an application AND approval by the department. Signing a purchase agreement before approval from the city of Parma will result in disqualification from the program.

The Brecksville Firefighters Association presents “An Evening at the Races” 
at The New Orleans Party Center on Brecksville Road on Saturday, February 6. The doors open at 5:30 pm. A buffet dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. The event is BYOB, beer and soda will be provided. The “races” will be shown on video and are for entertainment purposes only. There will be trophy winning horse owners.
