Something new is coming to Broadview Heights this year and it is called "Halloween on the Heights'! This event is co-sponsored by the City of Broadviews Heights and the Chamber of Commerce. It will focus on non scary family fun and fantasy for our city as well as our neighboring cities. Here are the dates, times and some of the events that are planned:
Saturday. Oct 17th and Sunday Oct. 18th from 2-7p.m.
Admission to the Haunted Green is $2 and kids under 5 are free.
Parking is free and there will be pizza, donuts, hot dogs, and more available for purchase.
Scarecrow Row...Residents. organizations, and businesses are invited to create their own scarecrows and to get you started, Broadview Heights Mini Storage will provide 300 scarecrow kits for free. The kits can be picked up at the storage facility located at 9100 Postal Drive, behind the Broadview Heights post office, Monday through Saturday, 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.. The Haunted Green... Located near the old hospital, the Haunted Green will offer free 15x15 foot display spaces to residents and schools to build their own Halloween displays and hand out goodies to trick or treaters. Businesses and non profit clubs can participate as well for a $25 fee.For more information and to reserve a space call the Chamber of Commerce at 440-838-4510
Lots more fun is in store with the following events:
***Adult Halloween costume party and murder mystery show will be held on Saturday evening.
***Teams of faculty and students representing Brecksville-Broadview Heights and North Royalton high schools will compete in a game of flag football on the brand new football field located on the City campus
***On Saturday and Sunday, The Broadview Heights Spotlight Community Theater will present the Enchanted Hollow-een for the little ones. This event will be held between 2-7 on the City campus.Visitors will enjoy a hayride and kids can meet fairytale and other characters (non scary) played by actors from the Spotlights. The charge is $4 and goes to benefit this wonderful theater group.
*** On Sunday afternoon, there will be a costume party for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students
