Below you will find the market statistics for Wiltshire Broadview Heights Ohio. Barb:  The thing I like about the current $8,000 tax credit incentive... is that it has the power to take someone who actually "wanted" to buy... but perhaps were not able to... and turn them INTO buyers who could actually buy.

I spent the first ten years of my Real Estate career in Cleveland (Mentor) with Smythe,Cramer... and still have family there, and so... I continue to be interested in what happens there.  Take care...

Hi Karen and thanks for stopping by. I did not know you were from Mentor..I grew up in Euclid and started moving south when I met my husband. Stop by anytime to catch up!

Hi Barb:  Actually, I grew up in Euclid, too.  My parents moved there just after my eighth grade year... and lived on 214th St north of Lake Shore for over thirty years.  I went to Catholic Schools all the way... and graduated from John Carroll University.  Just a nice Catholic girl from Cleveland.

I moved from Mentor to Dallas/Fort Worth in 1982... and have been here since... except for a two year period from 92 to 94... when I tried moving back to the Willoughby/Mentor area... after living in the DC area for six years.  Then, back to Fort Worth... where I have been ever since.

I miss Cleveland very much... such a nice "small town" feel but with all the big city amenities.  I would really like to come back and visit this fall... before winter hits.

In high school I remember knowing some folks with the name Szabo... but my memory fades.  I knew them more as a passing acquaintance rather than any sort of "friend" relationship.  I also taught in the Cleveland Catholic schools... teaching at St Felicitas from 1965 to 1973.  Some times I wish I had never left... although the nasty winters did some cruel things to my health.  Go Cavs !

Hi Karen, We were practically neighbors. I grew up on Glenbrook Blvd., south of the lake. Went to St. Paul's elementary (now closed) and then to Regina High school and then to CSU. I often went to St. Felicitas for Mass and my sister was a teacher there too, although that was around 1980. What a very small world. And I thought I read somewhere that  the name of your brokerage is ReMax Trinity? That's ours as well. I hopw you wrap up the year with a bang, but take time to enjoy the holidays. I know I will!

Barb:  I taught at St Felicitas from 1965 to 1973... so I may or may not have been there when your sister was a teacher there.  What was her name, then ?  Also... I had many girlfriends who went to Regina.  By the way... this last year Regina had an awesome basketball team.  I am not sure if they won the tournament, but I know they played in the finals.  I think they may have won the state championship.

What was your name when you attended Regina ?  I am assuming it was not Szabo.

I was at ReMax Trinity until April 2009... when I switched to a 100% office where the fees are minimal.  I also wanted to stay with ReMax until I received my ReMax Hall of Fame plaque... which I did in March, 2009.

By the way... both during my time at St Felicitas, and after teaching... I both played guitar, and sang in the Sunday Night guitar mass liturgical group.  I loved doing that.

I also knew a few people who went to St Pauls.  In my later teen years I belonged to the Holy Cross teen and young adult group.  We had a baseball team called the APES... which stood for Ann's, Paul's and Euclid YCA.  It was obviously made up of kids from St Anns, St Pauls, and Holy Cross.... which called themselves Euclid YCA.

I taught at St Felicitas... and could have stayed there forever... except that at the end... both myself, the other eighth grade teacher, and the nuns... the Akron Dominicans... just got tired of the abuse and name-calling by the dear Monsignor... who ranted at them from the pulpit.  He was a major conservative, and the nuns were honestly nicely middle-of-the-road... but he thought they were much to "liberal."  So... we all left... and that's when he managed to pull in three formerly-retired sisters from the Chardon Ursuline mother house.  What horrible politics.  That REALLY soured me on the church... for a very long time.  The Akron Dominicans were such a wonderful group of women... just wonderful.
