Walsh Jesuit High School Cuyahoga Falls Ohio to Present "The Wizard of Oz"!
My daughter Ein has loved this musical since she was a very little girl.
*We went through at least 5 pairs of ruby red slippers
*She knows every song by heart
*She sang "Over the Rainbow" as a first grader and won 1st place!
*She sang "Over the Rainbow" as an eighth grader (Katharine McPhee style) and was amazing!
Now she is a part of this wonderful production. She is an 'apple throwing tree", sings vocals on just about every song and is the understudy to Glinda. There will be fire and smoke and flying, oh my! You will not want to miss this fantastic show!

Barb: Thanks for sharing- I wish your daughter and the production much success! When my daughters were little, I took them to the Smithsonian to see Dorothy's ruby red slippers- they stared, mesmerized, at those shoes for 20 minutes! :)
I hope my daughter gets to see the real ones some day. She is simply in love with the show. We are excited for her and can't wait to see it about 4 or 5 times LOL
Sounds like fun, Barb, hope your daughter has a great experience. My kids just saw the original on DVD last week and really enjoyed it.
Barb, How exciting. Get there early and see if you can film it.....precious memories in the making!
Dan, You don't live that far from Walsh. You should bring the kids. I think they would really enjoy it.
Carole, I don't think they allow filming but I am sure they will have it professionally filmed and you can be sure I will buy a copy or 10!
Barb: I have always love Wizard of Oz. And... the song "Over The Rainbow" has always been one of my favorites, and one that often brings tears to my eyes... depending on my mood when hearing it.
I would love to see your daughter perform in this production. Right now I am planning on making a voyage to Cleveland in about a week. "Planning" is the key word here. I can just imagine that the night before I leave I might hear about three feet of snow having just hit the ground in Cleveburg... and panic and cancel. The cold is the main reason I left in 1982.
