Barb Szabo's Blog: A Truly Heartwarming Story!

A Truly Heartwarming Story!

Last year I was contacted by Judy whose daughter attends our church. She needed to sell her Mom Alice's home because Alice needed to be in a nursing home.

I sold the home in a few months to a young couple.

It was the young lady that bought the house and she came with a vase of fresh flowers from Alice's yard. She also brought along pictures of the renovations they made to the house. She told Alice that she did not want her to be sad about her former home, but happy because she and her boyfriend were very happy there.

Judy was very touched by this incredibly kind and thoughtful gesture. She said that now when she drives past the house, she will have one more memory to add to all the others.

Hi Barb~  What a kind gesture on part of the buyer.  What a wonderful way to show appreciation and make the previous homeowner and daughter feel good about having to sell!  That is a gracious buyer!

Barb:  What a great story.  This buyer sounds like one classy lady.  For her to bring flowers and all those pictures was such a thoughtful thing to do.  Great story, Barb.  Makes me smile.  :)

Barb, this is so touching, many good people out there, but very few take the time to show kindness.

You're kidding me?  What an incredibly fantastic story.  I am simply amazed that the "new" owners are so thoughtful and "included" Judy in the legacy of the home.  What a beautiful story!

Thanks for sharing this touching story. There are so many wonderful people in the world and many people do good deeds unfortunately the press reports mostly the not so good things that happen.
