All in a Day's Work....

Around here, and in other parts of the country I suspect, showings on listings are not to be missed..not ever...for any reason, cause you know....it just might be THE one.

A couple of days a go a showing was scheduled on a beautiful listing of mine. Naturally, I was thrilled. As I was entering my office, I received a call from the showing service that the agent could not get in because the combo he had would not open the lock box. So even though it had been shown alst week without incident, I gave another combo to try. Five minutes later I got a call from the agent who said,"Barb, I have tried both combos and it just will not work."

So I told him I had a spare key (never list a  home without making a spare copy of the key) and that I could be at the property in 12 minutes (if I got all green lights). I was about 6 minutes into my trip when he called again and said, "Turn around...I was at the wrong house!"

I laughed my you know what off and thanked him for coming clean!

I always try to make it easy to see a listing, but things happen.

Barb: I had that happen to me on the buy side a few months back, houses were on the same street, both Cape Cod styles, street numbers transposed.

Christine, Yes I did not have it in my heart to get angry.

Matt, My pics don't really paint a true picture as the homes in this subdivision pretty much all look the same. but I just had to laugh because I have done it too LOL
